green with envy
Original artwork by Angie Summa
acrylic and oil stick on canvas
28cm x 28cm x 5.5cm (including natural oak floating frame)
I‘m always intrigued about what mysteries lay underneath the pretty veneer. This is a small artwork in a series exploring what lays beneath the surface. At first glance, three pretty poppies, each one however, and much like us humans, has a story to tell beneath the face we we show to the world. The stories are good, bad, complicated, ever evolving, and all are unique and personal.
This series is created by wiping away layers of paint to reveal the highlights beneath, reflecting the idea that what is revealed is often just as important as what is concealed.
This artwork has d-rings and wire on the back and is ready to hang.
Shipping within Australia is free
